Medical Forensic Services

The Medical Forensic Services program is a program of the Pinal County Public Health Services District.

In May 2018, the Pinal County Board of Supervisors authorized and funded the development of the Pinal County Medical Forensic Services. The program consists of specially trained registered nurses and offers medical responses to child, adolescent, and adult patients who are victims of interpersonal violence. This encompasses child physical abuse, child sexual abuse, sexual assault, sex trafficking, domestic violence, non-fatal strangulation, elder abuse, and other forms of violence.

Our Program Offers:

  • Specialized medical evaluation and treatment services across the lifespan as coordinated and delivered by a Multidisciplinary Team response
  • Ensures the dignity of patients throughout all aspects of patient care
  • Has exam locations that are private, secure, and comfortable
  • Ensures the health, safety, and well-being of the community

Community education and outreach also play a vital role in the Medical Forensic Services program. Through education and outreach, we are able to provide the necessary information and resources to combat violence and work toward prevention. Pinal County is committed to serving those impacted by violence in our communities.
