Addressing

Definition: physical addresses to dwellings, businesses, wells and other uses. Assigned addresses may or may not be the same as a mailing address.

The primary goal of addressing is to make a location easily found by 911 responders. The address not only benefits the residents and businesses but is also used by other entities such as County departments, the U.S. Postal Service, mortgage companies, and utilities. The County coordinates between Cities (which do their own addressing) and the County. Addressing is also a vital part of the census information and mapping for Geographic Information System (GIS) data.

It is the goal of Addressing to provide accurate address information to anyone who may need it. When Addressing receives information there may be an inaccurate address from concerned citizens or 911, we research and resolve any discrepancies.
