Pinal County Workforce Development Board Recruiting Business Community Member
The Pinal County Workforce Development Board (PCWDB) is currently recruiting to fill a vacancy in its membership. The 19-member board is appointed by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors and is charged with providing strategic guidance and direction for federal, state, and local workforce development funds and programs. The PCWDB oversees the [email protected] Pinal County network of public and private partners, to coordinate a cohesive strategy for talent development within the county.
Membership on the PCWDB requires a majority of community business leaders, with the balance consisting of apprenticeship, post-secondary education, federal workforce programs, and economic development representatives. Currently, the board meets monthly with meetings ranging from 1 to 2 hours.
As a member representing the business community (PDF), key criteria require the representative to be an owner, chief executive officer, chief operating officer, or another individual with optimum policymaking or hiring authority and provide high-quality, work-relevant training and development opportunities to its workforce or the workforce of others. Members of the business community serve a term of two years which is renewable.
