In August 2022, Robert Stanley was appointed as Pinal County's Chief Information Officer after serving in an Interim capacity since March of the same year. Robert, a US Army veteran, joined Pinal County in 2019, having previously served as the IT Director/CIO of Corning Community College in upstate New York. Before being appointed as the Interim CIO, Robert worked as the IT Operations Manager for Pinal County from May 2019.
Robert possesses ten years of IT leadership experience and has worked in various industries for twenty years. He holds an Associate's degree in IT: Networking and a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management. In 2020, Robert obtained his Master's degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management Applied Leadership and Management at ASU.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Robert has also been an active mentor and coach for the FIRST Robotics Program in the FRC category. He served as the coach of Notre Dame High School's Robotics team. In 2017, the team, known as Electric Fire (Team 3799), won the regional FIRST Robotics competition at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
